Asharqia Chamber adopts "options" to support the development and activate investment in Ras Tanura Governorate
On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, the Asharqia Chamber launched a third version of the “Takamol initiative,” as it resulted in the formation of a joint working group between representatives of the “Chamber, the Municipal Council, and the Local Council” in Ras Tanura governorate, whose mission is to research and study investment opportunities in the governorate, the challenges it faces and ways treated.
This step comes after the Chamber launched similar steps in the past weeks in both the governorates of Khafji and Jubail, and it took place during a hypothetical meeting held with the participation of His Excellency the Governor of Ras Tanura Abdul Rahman Al-Arfaj, the Chairman of the Municipal Council, Aref Al-Jafal, and the Mayor, Engineer Saleh Al-Qarni, in addition to the Chairman of the Council The Chamber's management is Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi and a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Investment Committee Saadoun bin Khalid Al-Ateesh Al-Khalidi. The need for coordination, cooperation, and integration between all concerned parties was emphasized.
In this regard, His Excellency the Governor of Ras Tanura Abdul Rahman Al-Arfaj said that the governorate is proud of every initiative that will unify efforts and strengthen partnership to reach clear mechanisms to achieve goals and face challenges within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
For his part, the head of the municipal council, Aref al-Jafal, said that the council welcomes this idea and this initiative launched by the Asharqia Chamber to promote integrative work and partnership to achieve the required goals. To activate it and take its position on the investment map, and it may have suffered from poor marketing earlier, and we are fully prepared to cooperate to overcome such obstacles.
As for the mayor, Eng. Saleh Al-Qarni emphasized that the Ras Tanura Governorate is characterized by its strategic and economic location, and it has promising prospects for investment, but it faces some challenges.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khaldi, said in a speech during the meeting that, through the "Takamul" initiative, we aim to unify efforts and consolidate the values of partnership and communication between the people of the private sector in the various governorates of the Eastern Region, and between business councils and all government agencies, which is What is conducive to achieving our aspirations for more participation in achieving the goals of Vision 2030.
He added that the launch of the "Takamul" initiative came to add more economic mobility in the region and keep pace with the goals and aspirations of the vision, which were launched to diversify the base of the national economy, and we are certain that the recovery and the escalating growth in the national economy - despite the challenges - is due to the upholding of the values of cooperation. He expressed his hope that this initiative will enhance the economy of Ras Tanura Governorate, as well as opportunities for integration and cooperation between us, and that it will contribute to achieving the goals and aspirations of the future vision.
For his part, the speech of the Chairman of the Chamber's Foreign Investment Committee, Saadoun bin Khaled Al-Ateesh Al-Khalidi, said that in light of the current entitlements, initiatives to stimulate cooperation, integration, and unify efforts are now a priority on the agenda of all government agencies and others, as they represent a strategic option that supports the achievement of sustainable economic growth and enhances the contributions of All parties in the vision march and its goals.

He mentioned that the initiative relies on several pillars represented in activating the partnership mechanism between the public and private sectors, following the latest methods and techniques in marketing investment opportunities for the business sector in the governorates, supporting the entrepreneur's sector for modern projects, overcoming obstacles and difficulties facing them, allocating investment projects for this category, and supporting them. With advisory and financing solutions, encouraging digital transformation services in the governorates for the public and private sectors, and enhancing the media role to cover the effectiveness and activities of the initiative and its strategic pillars.
