Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (2720) dated 3/11 / 1439, which referred to the Council receiving the letter of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment No. (53697) dated (28/10/1439) that attached to the letter of the Deputy Governor for conformity and quality in the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization No. (7588 / B) dated (26/10/1439) concerning the agreement of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization with the General Authority of Customs to obligate all the products listed below to obtain a certificate of recognition of the IECEE certificate from the Standards Authority as of 19/11/1439 (1/8/2018), whether they were manufactured locally or imported from abroad.
The list as follows:
1-Mobile phone batteries
2- Water Pumps
3- Dishwashers
4- TV sets
5- Laptop
6. Electronic watches
The Authority emphasizes that importers, suppliers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers of the aforementioned products will be required to submit a certificate of recognition to the IECEE through the website of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization before the mandatory application mentioned above.
