Training Programs

The Center has designed six specialized training programs to qualify small-scale investors. Hundreds of Saudi young people have graduated from these programs. They include a two-week course titled (How to Start Your Small Business), targeting beginners, people with investment ideas, and those interested in self-employment; a course titled (How to Manage Your Small Business), which trains owners of newly established businesses in small-business management skills; a course titled (How to Develop Your Small Business), targeting existing business owners with potential for future growth and expansion or those facing challenges in achieving this; an intensive two-week course titled (How to Start a Small Tourism Business), targeting beginners and people with investment ideas specifically in tourism; a three-day course titled (How to Prepare a Business Plan for Your Small Business), targeting those who have recently obtained loans from financing funds or programs but have not yet started operations; and finally, a two-week course titled (How to Manage Your Business from Home for People with Special Needs).

Committee Objectives

  • Promoting the culture of self-employment and developing business awareness among Saudi youth.
  • Understanding the qualities and characteristics of an investor.
  • Preparing young people to invest in small businesses.
  • Acquiring the basic skills needed to identify investment ideas.
  • Providing guidance services and follow-up to ensure projects are implemented correctly.

Who Are These Programs For?

For Saudis who wish to start their own businesses or develop their existing businesses, aged 18–45. Minimum qualification: high school diploma. Applicants must have a serious and genuine interest in self-employment and investment.

Program Registration

Registration for any of the programs is completed by filling out one of the registration forms at the bottom of the page for the desired program and sending it by fax or email. Due to the limited number of places in each program, it may not be possible to accept everyone who wishes to register. Applications from participants who are not accepted will be retained so they can be contacted when additional programs are organized.

Attendance and Absence

Attendance at the scheduled times is mandatory. Attendance and absence are recorded by signing a designated attendance sheet before the start of each training day. Anyone who does not sign the sheet will be considered absent for that day.

Attendance Requirement

To receive a certificate of completion, the participant must attend at least 80% of the course.

Trainers

The training programs are delivered by qualified trainers. Priority will be given to local trainers from the Eastern Province because of their knowledge of the region and the need for follow-up support for program graduates. Having these trainers in the region will facilitate the provision of the consultations required by graduates.

Certificates

Each participant who meets the requirements will receive a training completion certificate issued by the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Program Evaluation

At the end of each training program, a program evaluation questionnaire is distributed to identify opportunities to improve and develop the course by analyzing the responses, extracting the results, and taking the necessary actions based on participants' feedback.
