Information holds particular importance in the lives of individuals and communities. We live in the information age, which has transformed the world into a small village, shortening distances and breaking down barriers. Any organization that seeks to keep pace with the times must therefore adopt an effective information strategy to meet the demands of this era.
The Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry recognized the importance of information at an early stage and established a specialized center called the Investment and Studies Center. This initiative reflected its understanding of the importance of information to businesspeople, whose modern decision-making depends on accurate, up-to-date, and reliable information, as well as specialized studies.The Center has a distinguished collection of local databases covering important information about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly the Eastern Province. It also provides external information through connections with a number of specialized international commercial databases.There are future plans to develop additional local databases and subscribe to new information databases, enabling businesspeople to access their information requirements whenever needed.
The Center also has a team of highly trained professionals equipped to handle the collection of information and deliver it to beneficiaries. It has appointed a group of qualified and capable Saudi youth. The Center continuously strives to develop its staff, enhance and update its information resources, and computerize its service-delivery procedures in order to improve the efficiency of its activities in serving businesspeople and the various departments of the Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
