Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings and informs you that it has received an email from the Saudi Chambers dated October 19, 2026, referring to an email from the Ministry of Economy and Planning regarding Royal Order No. (8652), dated 9 Safar 1443 AH, which approves the provision in Clause (Third) assigning the Ministry of Economy and Planning the task of updating the study on the competitive advantages of the Kingdom’s regions annually. As part of preparations for the 2026 annual reports on regional competitiveness, and in order to include the views of the private sector in the study to improve the accuracy of the assessment and the reliability of its inputs, the Ministry has completed developing the annual survey to measure the private sector’s views on the level of services provided to core assets and infrastructure that support economic activities in the Kingdom’s regions. These are among the key inputs in the methodology used to prepare the study on regional competitiveness.
Given the importance of private-sector participation in this work, and the Ministry of Economy and Planning’s wish to circulate the survey through the following link: http://go.ac.sa/a7l to gather the private sector’s views and comments, thereby helping improve the accuracy and quality of the study’s findings, the Ministry of Economy and Planning notes that the survey will close on December 30, 2026. We therefore hope you will meet the specified submission deadline.
