Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45555472/19), dated (28/03/1448 AH), attached to the letter of the Transport General Authority No. (1969/48/1), dated (21/03/1448 AH), regarding allowing taxis to travel between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain carrying passengers, effective 06/09/2026.
When providing the service, the Saudi carrier is required to comply with the provisions of the Implementing Regulations for Taxi Transport and Passenger Transport Brokerage Activities and the relevant international agreements, taking into account the following requirements:
- A valid operating card.
- Providing the service through those licensed in the taxi passenger transport brokerage activity.
- Providing a passenger manifest according to the form approved by the Transport General Authority.
- Verifying the identity of the driver and passengers and the validity of the required travel documents.
- Connecting to the systems of the relevant authorities when providing the service, such as the Shomoos security system.
- Adhering to the approved fare.
- No loading on the return trip until further notice.
- Not carrying out passenger transport within the State of Bahrain.
