Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (8/9/2026), concerning the ongoing coordination with the Ministry of Commerce regarding the initiatives of the Standing Committee for Consumer Protection, including the initiative to review the controls and regulations related to the labels of goods and products traded in the market. It has been decided to hold a virtual workshop to discuss product labels and explanatory data on products, identify the main challenges facing establishments in applying them, and gather the relevant views and proposals. The workshop will address the following main themes:
- Introduction to the initiative.
- Review of the general principles and requirements for product labels.
- Discussion of the main challenges facing commercial establishments in implementation.
