Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Transport General Authority No. (1944/48/1), dated (21/3/1448 AH), which refers to the Implementing Regulations for the Educational Transport Activity issued by the Authority’s Board of Directors Decision No. (11/6/TR/2025/4), dated (24/08/2025). The Regulations aim to regulate the educational transport activity, which falls under the regular transport activity, through the transport of male and female students of universities, colleges, and public and private educational institutions and their belongings under a transport contract, including nurseries, kindergartens, schools at all educational stages, institutes, and Holy Quran memorization centers; to develop and advance its services; and to encourage investment in the activity, in coordination with the relevant authorities, in line with the goals of economic and social development in the Kingdom, while taking into account environmental aspects and security and safety requirements.
Accordingly, and in the spirit of joint cooperation between the Authority’s branch and Asharqia Chamber, the Authority hopes that those concerned will urge the owners of private schools to comply with the provisions of the Regulations referred to above, including the educational establishment (private schools) obtaining the statutory licenses for the establishment, its vehicles, and its drivers, and adhering to the technical equipment requirements for educational transport vehicles, or contracting with those licensed in the educational transport activity, with the aim of reaching the highest safety rates, ensuring that our students have safe means of transport, and achieving compliance for this activity.
