Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45554981/20), dated (18/3/1448 AH), referring to the existing cooperation between the Federation, represented by the National Committee for Local Content and Government Procurement, and the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority to support and empower national factories and enhance their benefit from the volume of demand in major projects. The Federation, in cooperation with the Authority, is organizing a workshop titled (An Introduction to Local Content Mechanisms for State-Owned Companies) on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 01:00 p.m. at the headquarters of the Federation of Saudi Chambers – the Theater. The workshop aims to:
1- Raise awareness of the controls for giving preference to local content in the business and procurement of state-owned companies.
2- Enable national factories to benefit from the volume of demand in major projects.
3- Review the mechanism for applying the controls to the procurement of state-owned companies.
4- Review the mechanism for applying the controls to the projects of the National Housing Company.
Accordingly, the Federation hopes that those concerned and the relevant parties will take part in the workshop, contributing to raising awareness of local content mechanisms and enhancing national factories’ benefit from the opportunities available in major projects.
