Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45554369/20), dated (6/3/1448 AH), referring to the email received from the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority dated (12/8/2026), which includes the possibility of benefiting from the incentive percentage for spending on research and development, which allows establishments to calculate an incentive percentage based on their qualifying spending on research and development activities within the Kingdom, up to a maximum of 10% added to the local content percentage. This incentive aims to encourage private sector establishments to invest in research and development, enhance their competitiveness, and raise their contribution to local content. Attached is the guide to the mechanism for calculating the research, development, and innovation multiplier in the local content percentage formula.
