Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45551270/20), dated (07/01/1448 AH), referring to the urgent telegram received from the Ministry of Commerce No. (33739), dated (29/12/1447 AH), corresponding to (15/6/2026), regarding the telegram of the CEO of the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission No. (0366/1/001), dated (25/12/1447 AH), which includes (Article Three) of the Commission’s bylaws issued by Council of Ministers Resolution No. (334), dated (25/6/1439 AH), and the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission established by Royal Decree No. (M/82), dated (25/7/1439 AH), under which the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission is responsible for setting the policies, regulations, and decisions relating to the safety of radiological and nuclear activities, practices, and facilities. The Commission has issued a regulation on the reference levels for naturally occurring radioactive materials in building and construction materials and the related regulatory requirements it contains for the establishments operating in this sector.
The Federation urges the companies and institutions operating in the field of building and construction materials to review the regulation referred to above and to comply with the regulatory requirements and procedures it contains.
