Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45551054/20), dated (29/12/1447 AH), referring to the Ministry of Commerce telegram No. (33500), dated (5/12/1447 AH), corresponding to (1/6/2026), attached to the telegram of His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture No. (11080060), dated (23/12/1447 AH), regarding the preparation of a comprehensive strategic plan for dealing with everything related to goods and materials containing asbestos.
Accordingly, the Federation hopes that companies, commercial institutions, importers, and sales outlets that hold goods or materials containing asbestos will not sell or trade them, and will notify the Ministry of Commerce of any quantities they hold in stock, in preparation for developing appropriate disposal programs. Data and information on any goods containing asbestos should be sent to the Chemical Clearance Department at the Ministry of Commerce by email (che@mc.gov.sa)
