Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (5/5/2026), referring to the letter of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistic Services No. (2/20010), dated (29/04/2026), issued by the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, which refers to the gracious approval of the “National Transport and Logistics Strategy” document, which aims to consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub.
In the framework of achieving the targets of the master plan for logistics centers, the Ministry has prepared the “Technical Guidance Manual for the Construction and Operation of Warehouses.”
This manual is characterized by the following:
- It is a comprehensive reference for investors and developers to access the technical and regulatory requirements.
- It presents the investor’s journey through the construction and operation stages in an interconnected manner.
- It includes the unification of a number of regulatory requirements, such as maximum height and maximum building ratio.
- It contains a classification of warehouse categories (A, B, C) to facilitate licensing procedures.
Accordingly, the Federation hopes that logistics sector companies will review the manual in Arabic and English through the website of the Saudi Building Code National Committee, or through the “Logisti” platform.
