Lifting of the Ban on Importing Poultry from Poland

Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (12/4/2026), which refers to the Federation’s receipt of a telegram from the Ministry of Commerce No. (28023), dated (20/10/1447 AH). Based on the immediate notification report issued by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on (28/9/1447 AH), corresponding to (17/3/2026), which states that (Newcastle) disease has been brought under control in the (Podlaskie) province of the Republic of Poland and that no new outbreak of the disease has been recorded there, and after the Authority studied the health situation and reviewed the recommendations of the World Organisation for Animal Health set out in Article (10.4) of the Terrestrial Animal Health Code, which indicate that the ban may be lifted, the Authority’s Decision No. (40675/1), dated (13/10/1447 AH), corresponding to (1/4/2026), was issued lifting the temporary ban imposed on the import of poultry meat, table eggs, and their products from the (Podlaskie) province of the Republic of Poland.
