Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received an email from the Federation of Saudi Chambers dated (6/4/2026), referring to the letter of the Saudi Ports Authority No. (1/38/25389), dated (17/10/1447 AH), which includes the Authority’s Circular No. (10) of 2026 regarding the extension of the storage fee exemption period.
Legal basis:
- The Port Service Fees and Charges Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/42), dated (2/7/1405 AH), and its amendments.
- The regulatory and supervisory powers vested in the Saudi Ports Authority under Council of Ministers Resolution No. (299), dated (11/6/1439 AH).
- Saudi Ports Authority Circulars No. (10) of 2025 and No. (4) of 2024.
It has been decided as follows:
First: Amendment of the storage fee exemption periods at King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu as follows:
- Extension of the storage fee exemption period (loaded export) for containers, flat racks, and trailers and all classes of the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG) except classes (1), (5), and (7), to (20) days.
- Extension of the storage fee exemption period (loaded export) for containers, flat racks, and trailers of International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG) classes (1), (5), and (7), to (20) days.
- Extension of the storage fee exemption period (empty inbound) for containers, flat racks, and trailers to (20) days
Second: Entry into force
This circular takes effect from (5/4/2026), for a period of two months.
