Dear Esteemed Chamber Subscribers,
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the letter of the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45542821/19), dated (19/7/1447 AH), which refers to the Federation’s receipt of a letter from the Ministry of Commerce No. ( 20237), dated (11/7/1447 AH), regarding the Ministry’s supplementary letter No. ( 6021), dated (2/4/1442 AH), regarding the observation that many stores write the Beautiful Names of Allah on bags and packaging liable to be treated disrespectfully. The directive of His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior No. ( 21016), dated (17/3/1407 AH), was issued, providing that the name of Allah not be written on any papers or containers that would end up being treated disrespectfully. His Highness’s circular No. ( 12/99553), dated (14/10/1415 AH), was also issued, stating that the Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta studied the placing of the names and attributes of Allah, the Almighty, in various places liable to be treated disrespectfully and issued a fatwa prohibiting this, in honor and glorification of the names of Allah, the Almighty, and His Highness’s wish that this be adopted and that what exists be removed.
