Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and would like to inform you that it has received the Ministry of Energy’s letter No. (7095/48022040), dated (12/04/1448 AH), referring to the Ministry’s efforts to empower those wishing to install renewable energy systems for self-consumption and facilitate the procedures and requirements for doing so. These efforts include updating the regulatory frameworks issued by the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority and the qualification requirements for consultants and contractors undertaking projects involving photovoltaic solar energy systems with a capacity of less than 2 megawatts.
As the Ministry seeks to increase the number of consultants and contractors carrying out the design, inspection, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic solar energy systems with a capacity of less than 2 megawatts connected to the distribution network, in order to keep pace with supply and demand, please note that the qualification requirements are updated periodically or whenever necessary.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Energy invites consultants and contractors to contact it and apply for qualification through the Qualification Platform on the Shamsi Portal at the following link: (shamsi.gov.sa).
