Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and wishes to inform you that it has received the letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45557530/20), dated 2 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH, which refers to the letter from the Transport General Authority No. (2859/48/1), dated 25 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH, corresponding to October 6, 2026, and refers to the resolution of the Transport General Authority’s Board of Directors No. (1/11 T/R4/2026), dated 18 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH, corresponding to September 29, 2026. The resolution approves extending, on an exceptional basis until 17 Shawwal 1448 AH, corresponding to March 25, 2027, the waiver allowing a single vehicle or tractor used in heavy goods transport for commercial purposes (for third parties) or in heavy goods transport for commercial purposes (for the establishment’s own account) to exceed the operational age limit, provided that the vehicle is no more than 22 years old from its date of manufacture. It also approves extending, on an exceptional basis until 17 Shawwal 1448 AH, corresponding to March 25, 2027, the permission for service providers engaged in heavy goods transport for commercial purposes (for the establishment’s own account) to contract to transport goods they do not own, provided that a transport document is issued for each shipment transported.
