Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings to you and wishes to inform you that it has received the letter from the Union of Saudi Chambers No. (45557620/20), dated (04/05/1448 AH), which refers to the Ministry of Commerce’s telegram No. (8822), dated (2/5/1448 AH), and based on the telegram from the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (14923/1), dated (1/5/1448 AH). The telegram refers to the Saudi Food and Drug Authority’s monitoring of international reports concerning food safety around the world. Based on the immediate notification report issued by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) on (20/4/1448 AH), corresponding to October 1, 2026, which reported an outbreak of Newcastle disease in the Malopolskie region of the Republic of Poland, the Authority issued Decision No. (14560/1), dated (27/4/1448 AH), corresponding to October 8, 2026, imposing a temporary ban on the import of poultry meat, table eggs, and their products from the Malopolskie region of the Republic of Poland.
