Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings and informs you that it has received the letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45557394/20), dated (30/04/1448 AH), which refers to the Ministry of Commerce letter No. (8470), dated (27/04/1448 AH), corresponding to (October 8, 2026), and referring to the letter from the Deputy Governor for Conformity and Operations at the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization No. (48001471/1), dated (20/04/1448 AH), and letter No. (48001248/2), dated (04/04/1448 AH). These letters refer to the Organization’s Board of Directors resolution at its meeting No. (157), dated (28/03/1438 AH), which delegated to the Executive Committee the study and approval of draft standards in accordance with the methodology adopted by the Board for approving standards. They also refer to Executive Decision No. (52), dated (October 27, 2025), approving the update to Saudi Standard No. (SASO2892:2025) concerning refrigerators, refrigerators with freezers, and freezers—energy performance requirements and labelling requirements. The approval was published in Umm Al-Qura newspaper, Issue No. (5123), issued on (30/05/1447 AH), corresponding to (November 21, 2025).
Accordingly, the Federation requests that wholesalers, retailers, distributors, and suppliers of the products mentioned above comply with the mandatory implementation dates for the above-mentioned standard as follows:
1- Customs ports and local factories: (22/06/1449 AH), corresponding to (November 21, 2027).
2- Sales outlets and warehouses: (25/10/1449 AH), corresponding to (March 21, 2028).
