About the Council

The Businesswomen Council aims to:

  • Stimulating women's investment activity by encouraging businesswomen to invest their capital in projects that achieve economic diversification and create new opportunities for employing national women's talent in support of the Saudi economy.
  • Raising businesswomen's awareness of economic matters and keeping them informed of developments related to women's participation in business.
  • Studying the problems and challenges faced by businesswomen in the business sector, proposing appropriate solutions, and referring them to the relevant authorities through the Chamber.
  • Studying the effects of existing or proposed regulations, clarifying their positive and negative effects on the current and future performance of sector enterprises, and providing recommendations for their development.
  • Cooperating with the Chamber's relevant departments, government entities, and public and private research and statistics centers to provide local and international data, statistics, reports, studies, and research.
  • Strengthening cooperation and connections among businesswomen in the region and organizing regular meetings.
  • Promoting women's participation in regional councils and government committees, developing communication with the business community, and ensuring equal opportunities.
  • Promoting businesswomen's participation in international and local forums through delegations, visits, and conferences, and highlighting their role in the Eastern Province.
  • Participating in national and social events in which the Chamber takes part.

Businesswomen Council Initiatives

- Initiative to Empower Women in Leadership Positions:

Given the importance of increasing women's presence in leadership positions and on corporate boards, the Council organizes programs under this initiative to promote women's economic participation, communication with the business community, equal opportunities, and women's empowerment at various leadership levels.

- Know Your Rights Initiative:

The initiative raises women's awareness of their rights in business through meetings with legal specialists to discuss topics of interest to women in business.

- Women's Investment Promotion Initiative:

The initiative aims to stimulate women's investment by encouraging businesswomen to invest in projects that achieve economic diversification and manage projects according to sound scientific and professional principles. It also promotes communication among businesswomen with complementary activities to improve women's business-sector enterprises.
