Chairman of Asharqia Chamber, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, met on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, with a delegation from the Bahrain Businessmen’s Association headed by Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Hindi, where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the Chamber and the Association, in the presence of the Chamber’s Second Vice Chairman, Mohammed bin Ali Al-Majdouie, Board member Mohammed bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rashed, a number of the Chamber’s committee chairmen, and the Chamber’s Secretary-General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel.
Al-Farraj explained that the meeting is an extension of strong economic and trade relations that have produced alignment at all levels and across various fields, along with a shared commitment to elevating them to broader horizons, in a way that serves the aspirations of the leadership of the two sisterly kingdoms, may Allah protect them, and supports the ambitions of the business community in both countries.
Al-Farraj said: “We at Asharqia Chamber believe that the private sector is one of the most important drivers of enhancing economic integration between the two countries, and that what unites us in terms of geographical proximity, social and cultural ties, and similarity in the business environment represents a solid foundation for building more high-quality partnerships and investments. We also affirm that Asharqia Chamber will remain committed to strengthening communication between the Saudi and Bahraini business communities and turning the available opportunities into real, sustainable projects and partnerships that benefit the economies of both countries and their two sisterly peoples.”
The meeting reviewed the available investment and trade opportunities and discussed the areas that could see further cooperation, contributing to the creation of new partnerships, expanding the scope of joint business, and opening promising horizons for businessmen in both countries. The attendees also put forward a number of ideas and visions that contribute to supporting and strengthening the existing partnerships between the two business communities.
For his part, bin Hindi affirmed that the visit came as a confirmation that the future requires the combined efforts of the private sector in the two kingdoms and the integration of its capabilities to establish a new phase of economic and strategic partnership. He noted that the relationship between the two countries is an extension of an integrated market and a promising investment environment rich in opportunities, especially in light of the major economic and developmental momentum the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing under Vision 2030, and the developmental initiatives the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing within the framework of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
