Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, met with the Assistant Deputy Minister for Companies and Chambers of Commerce Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce, Saad bin Mubarak Al Maadi, where they discussed aspects of joint cooperation in a way that serves the business sector in the region, in the presence of the Chamber’s Secretary-General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, and the Chairman of the Chamber’s Commercial Committee, Sultan bin Ghazi Al-Dhafiri.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Chamber also organized at its main headquarters a workshop titled “Raising Establishments’ Awareness of the Regulatory Requirements of Business Sector Regulations and Introducing the Services Provided by the Saudi Business Center,” on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The workshop was dedicated to enhancing establishments’ awareness of regulatory requirements and reviewing the advanced package of services provided by the Saudi Business Center to support and facilitate the practice of business activities, amid a notable attendance from the business sector, specialists, and interested parties.
The session was attended by the Assistant Deputy Minister for Companies and Chambers of Commerce Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce, Saad bin Mubarak Al Maadi, and the Investor Operations Supervisor at the Saudi Business Center, Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Raouji, and was moderated by Sultan bin Ghazi Al-Dhafiri, Chairman of the Chamber’s Commercial Committee. The session shed light on the regulatory compliance requirements of business sector regulations, the most frequent violations in the business sector, the impact of violations on commercial establishments and the mechanism for reporting them, and the causes of violations and ways to prevent them.
Asharqia Chamber Chairman, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, affirmed that strengthening knowledge of regulatory responsibilities and dealing early with practices and risks represent an important step toward building establishments that are more aware and better able to manage business on sustainable regulatory and institutional foundations.
Al-Farraj noted that this workshop is one of the effective knowledge tools, shedding light on the regulatory requirements of business sector regulations. It is an early opportunity to identify regulatory risks and how to address them before they escalate, which promotes a culture of prevention and compliance and makes this commitment an integral part of doing business rather than merely a response to violations after they occur. It is also important for introducing the “Saudi Business Center” and the services and solutions it provides that help facilitate the journey of investors and establishments, raise the efficiency of doing business, and enhance communication with the relevant authorities.
