His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province and Honorary President of the Asharqia Young Businessmen Council, launched at Asharqia Chamber’s headquarters on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the “Tamkeen” platform, one of the initiatives of the Asharqia Young Businessmen Council, which aims to unify access to support, financing, empowerment, and auxiliary service programs in a single digital platform.
His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province affirmed that supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises and empowering young businesspeople represents one of the important enablers for enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy. His Highness pointed to the importance of digital initiatives that facilitate access to the available support, financing, and service programs and enhance entrepreneurs’ benefit from them, in support of the growth and sustainability of their projects and in keeping with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the small and medium enterprises sector and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors, Mr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, affirmed that the Chamber gives great attention to the young business and entrepreneurship sector, stemming from its belief in the role of young people in shaping the future of the national economy. He noted that the Asharqia Young Businessmen Council represents an effective platform for empowering the new generation of entrepreneurs and strengthening communication between them and the business community and supporting entities, contributing to turning promising ideas and initiatives into sustainable projects with economic and developmental impact.
Al-Farraj explained that the launch of the Council’s work in its new term is an extension of what it achieved in previous terms, and a confirmation that Asharqia Chamber will continue to develop initiatives and programs that respond to the needs of young businesspeople and help them overcome challenges and benefit from the opportunities available amid the transformations the Saudi economy is witnessing.
The Chairman of the Asharqia Young Businessmen Council, Eng. Rami bin Saleh Al-Sayed, explained that the “Tamkeen” platform comes in response to the need to facilitate entrepreneurs’ and small and medium enterprises’ access to the available support system, by bringing together programs, services, and financing and advisory opportunities in a single digital platform built on the latest artificial intelligence technologies. He noted that during its new term the Council will continue to launch high-quality initiatives that contribute to developing the entrepreneurship environment and connecting young businesspeople with the entities and programs that help them grow and expand.
At the end of the ceremony, His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province honored the sponsors of the “Shour Dulani Asharqia 2026” forum, held under His Highness’s patronage at Asharqia Chamber’s headquarters in cooperation with the Dulani Business Center, an initiative of the Social Development Bank, which set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of startup development consultations worldwide, with 523 consultations in less than 8 hours. The forum aims to stimulate the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region by providing specialized advisory support to the owners of startups and small and medium enterprises and to holders of entrepreneurial ideas, enhancing the growth and sustainability opportunities of projects and supporting the development of the region’s entrepreneurship environment.
