Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, the Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition 2026 kicks off next Tuesday, September 1, launched by Asharqia Chamber, represented by its Social Responsibility Center, and continues until Friday, September 4 of this year, at the Dhahran International Exhibitions Center in Khobar.
For his part, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj extended his highest thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for his generous patronage of the exhibition, affirming that the patronage reflects His Highness’s continued support for the Chamber’s activities and programs, which enables it to continue its work in supporting the region’s business sector and the community contributions the Chamber provides today to members of society, by adopting, refining, and developing the craft work and productive family sector.
Al-Farraj explained that through this event the Chamber seeks to organize craft and creative work and elevate it from its traditional character to sustainable economic growth, by moving the projects of artisans and productive families, micro and small, from their simple frameworks to become promising investment projects capable of competing. The Chamber also works to equip participants with the professional, administrative, and marketing skills needed to raise the quality of their products and secure organized sales channels that provide them with sustainable income and motivate them to enter the world of entrepreneurship.
Al-Farraj noted that the current edition of the “Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition 2026” features wide participation of more than 300 exhibitors from among artisans, handicraft business owners, and visual artists, alongside government entities, incubators, and civil associations. He also mentioned that the exhibition’s pavilions in this ninth edition are spread across several integrated sections, including heritage products, design and decor, women’s clothing and fashion, incense and perfumes, in addition to food, beverages, sweets, coffee, and spices. He affirmed that the Chamber has been keen to provide all forms of support and training and to provide media coverage for the participants to help them expand and grow in the labor market.
