“Asharqia Chamber Incubator” Discusses Crisis Forecasting Mechanisms and Protecting the Institutional Reputation of Establishments

Asharqia Chamber, represented by Asharqia Chamber Entrepreneurship Incubator, organized a meeting titled “Crisis Management in Startups,” presented by Crisis Management Strategic Consultant Ali bin Mohammed Al-Ansari. During the meeting, several topics related to the concept and nature of crises in the startup environment were discussed, in the presence of a number of interested participants and entrepreneurs.

Al-Ansari highlighted the definition of crisis management, types of crises, early crisis indicators, stages of crisis response, and building an emergency plan. He also provided participants with advice and guidance to develop their businesses. The meeting was held on Monday evening, May 18, 2026, at the Incubator’s headquarters in Asharqia Chamber Tower, as part of the educational and awareness meetings program, which is one of the Incubator’s enabling initiatives.

Ali Al-Ansari presented to the audience a roadmap on the concept and types of crisis management, which seeks to forecast crises, prepare for them, respond quickly when they occur, and then recover from and learn from them, in a manner that ensures business continuity, protects reputation, and enhances organizational resilience.

Al-Ansari explained that prior planning reduces losses by up to 60% when a crisis occurs, and that rapid recovery achieves three times greater success in confronting crises when a ready and clear action plan is in place. He noted that 42% of crises are financial crises.

The Strategic Consultant warned of the danger of the absence of prior planning, citing sectoral data indicating that 70% of small enterprises face the risk of closing their doors within only one year of a major crisis due to lack of readiness. At the same time, he pointed out that 60% of existing enterprises already lack written and comprehensive emergency plans.

Consultant Al-Ansari emphasized that the successful strategic option lies in accurately assessing the situation and consulting specialized experts before making random decisions to reduce costs or resort to emergency borrowing.

The meeting concluded with a review of real-life scenarios for managing global supply crises and the impact of regional tensions on production lines, emphasizing that proactive preparedness always remains the key to resilience and sustainability in the world of entrepreneurship.
