Asharqia Chamber held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, a seminar titled “The Impact of Quality and Sustainability Practices in Times of Crisis,” with the participation of an elite of specialists and experts in the fields of quality and sustainability, as part of the Chamber’s efforts to enhance the business sector’s readiness to face crises, challenges, and accelerating change.
The seminar reviewed the importance of adopting total quality concepts and sustainability practices as strategic tools that help raise institutional performance efficiency and strike a balance between economic growth and the preservation of resources, especially in times of crisis, which call for flexible decisions and rapid responses built on scientific foundations and modern practices.
The speakers affirmed that institutions that adopt quality methodologies and integrate sustainability into their operational processes are better able to adapt to crises, reduce risks, and ensure business continuity, noting that investing in these practices is no longer a complementary option, but an absolute necessity for ensuring survival and competitiveness in changing business environments.
This seminar comes within a series of events organized by Asharqia Chamber with the aim of supporting and empowering the business sector and raising awareness of the importance of quality and sustainability as two fundamental pillars for achieving sustainable development, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in building a diversified and sustainable economy. The speakers at the seminar were the CEO of the National Inspection and Technical Testing Company (FAHSS), Saleh Al-Suwaiti, the Head of Technical Consulting at the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization in the Eastern Province, Eng. Fayez Al-Sayyaf, and the Chief Information Security Officer at Tasnee, Eng. Fahad Al-Muqbel.
