Asharqia Chamber and the Tharaa Association, concerned with the sustainability of family businesses, signed a cooperation agreement aimed at supporting the Association’s initiatives and events that seek to develop the family business sector and enhance its sustainability, contributing to the growth of this vital sector and supporting its continuity across generations.
At the signing of the agreement last Thursday, the Chamber was represented by its Chairman of the Board, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, while the Association was represented by its Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Dhuwayan, in the presence of Chamber Board member and Association Board member Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Bassam, and the Association’s Executive Director, Ahmed bin Saud Al-Zarm.
Asharqia Chamber Chairman Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj affirmed that the agreement comes within the Chamber’s keenness to support the family business sector, which is one of the important pillars of the national economy, noting that the partnership with the Tharaa Association represents an important step toward strengthening the initiatives and programs that contribute to developing this sector and raising its level of sustainability.
Al-Farraj explained that family businesses play a pivotal role in supporting economic development and generating job opportunities, pointing out that through this agreement the Chamber seeks to strengthen cooperation with specialized entities to exchange experience and launch initiatives and events that support the continuity of family establishments and enable them to keep pace with economic changes and achieve sustainable growth.
For his part, the Chairman of the Tharaa Association’s Board, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Dhuwayan, affirmed that the agreement represents an important addition to the Association’s efforts to support the family business sector, commending Asharqia Chamber’s role in supporting development initiatives that serve the business sector and contribute to enhancing its sustainability.
