Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, met on Thursday, February 5, 2026, with the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom, Mr. Raymond Balatbat, and they discussed aspects of joint economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Chamber organized, in the presence of Board members Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Raqeeb and Ali bin Abdullah Al-Saihati, Secretary-General Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, and Bianca Pearl, Director of the Trade and Industry Division in the Philippines, a meeting with the accompanying trade delegation.
The Chamber’s Chairman, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, said that relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of the Philippines go back decades and have been marked by strength and firmness, witnessing continued growth and remarkable prosperity in various fields and at all levels, reflecting growing opportunities for cooperation and the establishment of investment partnerships between businessmen in both countries.
He pointed to the Republic of the Philippines’ standing as one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia and the third-largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, alongside the Kingdom’s strong economy, which is witnessing steady growth driven by an ambitious vision aimed at diversifying the economic base and maximizing the benefit from available resources and capabilities.
