His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province, is sponsoring the Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition 2026, launched by Asharqia Chamber, represented by its Social Responsibility Center, from September 1 to 4 of this year, at the Dhahran International Exhibitions Center in Khobar.
For his part, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj extended his highest thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for his generous patronage of the exhibition, affirming that the patronage reflects His Highness’s continued support for the Chamber’s activities and programs, which enables it to continue its work in supporting the region’s business sector and the community contributions the Chamber provides today to members of society, by adopting, refining, and developing the craft work and productive family sector.
Al-Farraj explained that the exhibition, in its ninth edition, embodies the Chamber’s commitment to continuing its efforts to support this vital sector, given the position the crafts and handicrafts sector holds today as one of the important economic and social pillars and a fundamental element within the targets of Vision 2030, which seeks to develop this sector and turn it into a more organized system that contributes effectively to supporting the national economy and strengthening the Kingdom’s cultural identity.
Al-Farraj affirmed that the exhibition aims to develop the creative, professional, and administrative skills of artisans and visual artists, ensuring higher quality products and enabling them to display and market them through organized channels that provide sustainable income and encourage them to take up the entrepreneurial experience with confidence.
Al-Farraj noted that this stems from Asharqia Chamber’s developmental role and the pursuit of its goals of maximizing the impact of the business sector’s community contribution, and maximizing the performance of entrepreneurship and small and emerging projects through craft and handicraft owners and productive families, by means of awareness programs, workshops, and high-quality initiatives serving this developmental sector, and within the Chamber’s plan to continue its efforts to make the owners of these crafts an active figure within the economy of the Kingdom in general and the Eastern Province in particular.
