His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, received at his office at the Governorate’s headquarters on Thursday, June 25, 2026, Chairman of Asharqia Chamber’s Board of Directors Mr. Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj and the chairmen of the sector committees and business councils for the twentieth term (2026-2029), where His Highness reviewed their work and future plans and the strategic plan aimed at strengthening the role of the business sector.
His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province affirmed the importance of the role played by Asharqia Chamber in representing the business sector and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, highlighting the importance of activating the role of the sector committees so that they serve as an effective platform for conveying the views of investors and entrepreneurs and putting forward initiatives and proposals that contribute to developing the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of the economic sectors, reflecting positively on economic development in the region and supporting the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Farraj gave His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province a presentation on the stages of forming the sector committees and business councils for the current term, and the mechanisms for enabling them to carry out their tasks in service of economic development in the Eastern Province, in support of the investment environment and the achievement of the strategic plan’s targets. He explained that the completion of the formation of the sector committees and business councils marks the start of a new phase of institutional work, based on strengthening integration with government and private entities and working in a spirit of one team to address challenges and put forward high-quality initiatives that contribute to developing the business environment and raising the competitiveness of the economic sectors.
Al-Farraj expressed his deep thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province for the attention and support that Asharqia Chamber and the business sector receive, affirming that this constitutes an incentive to continue working and strengthening the Chamber’s role in serving the national economy and supporting the region’s development journey.
