Asharqia Chamber, represented by its Social Responsibility Center, is continuing its preparations to launch the new edition of the Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition 2026, under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province. The exhibition will be held at the Dhahran Expo exhibition grounds over 4 days, from September 1 to 4 of this year.
The exhibition represents a serious step that translates Asharqia Chamber’s developmental roles in turning national energies into economic resources capable of continuity and of making a tangible impact in the Saudi labor market.
For his part, Asharqia Chamber Chairman, Fahad bin Abdullah Al-Farraj, affirmed that through this event the Chamber seeks to organize craft and creative work and elevate it from its traditional character to sustainable economic growth, by moving the projects of artisans and productive families, micro and small, from their simple frameworks to become promising investment projects capable of competing. The Chamber also works to equip participants with the professional, administrative, and marketing skills needed to raise the quality of their products and secure organized sales channels that provide them with sustainable income and motivate them to enter the world of entrepreneurship.
Al-Farraj noted that the current edition of the “Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition 2026” features wide participation of more than 300 exhibitors from among artisans, handicraft business owners, and visual artists, alongside government entities, incubators, and civil associations. He added that the exhibition is not merely a passing marketing event, but a strategic platform that integrates with the goals of “Vision 2030” in diversifying sources of income, empowering the individual, and enhancing the contribution of the cultural and creative sectors to GDP.
Al-Farraj concluded by noting that the exhibition creates an inspiring environment that encourages experimentation and innovation and opens new horizons for generating promising jobs for young men and women, making craft owners active and influential elements in the Kingdom’s economic and social development journey.
