Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings and wishes to inform you that it has received a letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers, No. (45556834/19), dated (25 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH), referring to the cable from the General Authority for Foreign Trade, No. (632), dated September 30, 2026, which refers to the cable from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, No. (078166), dated (2 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH). The letter states that the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), affiliated with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, has sent a memorandum inviting participants to a virtual webinar to raise private sector awareness of the opportunities offered by the Trade Preferential System among the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, in cooperation with the COMCEC Coordination Office. The webinar will be held on October 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Riyadh time (virtually).
The webinar aims to enhance the private sector’s understanding of the benefits offered by the Trade Preferential System among the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the practical aspects of how to benefit from it, and information sources, customs procedures and required documents in member states. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange views and feedback, learn about challenges and gaps, and explore ways to address them.
