Dear Chamber Subscribers Esteemed
May peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you
Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings and informs you that it has received a letter from the Federation of Saudi Chambers No. (45556273/20), dated (11/04/1448 AH), referring to the work of the Federation’s National Logistics Committee in preparing a study on the state of the logistics sector in the Kingdom. The study aims to assess the sector’s current state, identify the main challenges facing its establishments, and support the development of solutions and initiatives that contribute to improving operational efficiency and enhancing sustainability. Given the importance of having accurate data that reflects the actual conditions of road transport establishments, the Committee is working to determine the number of trucks out of service and the reasons they are out of service, including driver shortages and other operational and regulatory reasons. This will help measure the extent of unused operating capacity and identify its main causes and effects on the ability of sector establishments to meet the growing demand for transport services at present. Data received from establishments will support the study’s findings, enable a more accurate assessment of the scale of the challenges, and inform proposals and solutions based on actual data for discussion with the relevant authorities, in a way that serves the sector’s interests and contributes to improving its operational efficiency.
Accordingly, the Federation invites investors and establishments involved in the road transport sector to participate and accurately complete the requested data to ensure an accurate assessment of the sector’s actual conditions via the following link: (http://go.ac.sa/nry), by the end of business on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
