Asharqia Chamber hosted a specialized lecture entitled "Between Information Security and Cyber Security" that is implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Communications and Information Technology Committee of the Chamber, as a part of the Digital Giving initiative that aimed at spreading digital literacy in society, and comes within a series of lectures and training courses in more than one branch of Asharqia Chamber.
On Sunday 12 May 2019, the events began with the presence of Board Member and Chairman of the Committee Nasser bin Rashid Al Bajash in Asharqia Chamber Branch in Jubail Governorate.
The lecture was presented by Saadiya Al-Mutairi, who provided a comprehensive definition of the term "information security" and means of achieving it.
She then reviewed a range of topics related to cybersecurity and the difference between it and information security.
On Thursday and Friday 16 and 17 May 2019, a training lecture for women only will be held at the headquarter of Asharqia Chamber, and will be presented by the trainer Nadia Almhnna, who will talk about the history of the Infographic and how to create it using the available programs.
The third event will be held in Dammam on 20 June 2019, which will be an introductory course for the design of online systems and software by using PHP and MySQL that will be presented by Adel Al-Muhanna in Asharqia Chamber headquarter in Dammam.
Al-Bajash explained that these events reflect the reality of cooperation between Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Committee, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, where we look forward to be supportive activities of the digital trend witnessed by our country in various cultural, commercial and social interactions.
