Deputy Prince of the Eastern Province to sponsor tomorrow the 2024 Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition
Under the patronage and honor of the Deputy Prince of the Eastern Province, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the 2024 Crafts and Handicrafts Exhibition will start tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Dhahran Expo Exhibitions, and will continue until the 29th of this month.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Rizaiza, praised the patronage of His Highness the Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province for the exhibition in its developed version, stressing that the sponsorship reflects His Highness's continuous support for the activities and programs of the Chamber, which enables it to continue working to support the business sector in the region, and the social programs it provides to contribute to community development.
Al-Raziza explained that the exhibition witnesses the participation of more than 300 exhibitors from craftsmen and handicrafts owners, government and private entities, and civil society organizations, as it aims to organize the work of these crafts, whether handicrafts or plastic artists, to develop their capabilities and provide them with the professional, administrative and creative skills necessary to raise the quality of their products by providing them with the opportunity to display and sell their products within the various exhibition pavilions and according to organized marketing channels that guarantee participants sustainable income and motivate them to entrepreneurship.
Al-Raziza stressed that the crafts and handicrafts sector is considered a social and economic tributary, through its important role as one of the most important pillars of Saudi Vision 2030 to work on upgrading and developing it and transforming it into a more organized sector to be an added value in the national economy and contribute positively to the gross domestic product.
The exhibition also emphasizes the promotion of culture by contributing to spreading awareness about cultural and artistic heritage, and providing a unique experience by providing visitors with the opportunity to meet craftsmen and learn about manufacturing processes, explore all corners, inquire about work techniques and materials used, and perform a live experience.
