The exhibition, which includes more than 300 pavilions, aims to encourage the culture of entrepreneurship and motivate owners of handicrafts and crafts to take the path of self-employment, and strive to develop and advance them to gain the necessary professional, administrative and marketing skills, in addition to helping them with training and qualification to play their role in the country's development process.
His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province, honored the partners of the exhibition's success: Saudi Aramco, Social Development Bank as strategic partners, Dhahran Expo as main sponsor, Sulaiman Al Rajhi for Development Financing, Elite Company, and Al Salam Hospital as gold sponsor, and the General Authority for Radio and Television, Eastern Sector as TV sponsor. During his tour of the exhibition pavilions, His Highness listened to a detailed explanation from the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Chamber, Mr. Badr bin Sulaiman Al-Rizaiza, about the exhibition, its pavilions, corners, and objectives.
Al-Rizaiza appreciated the patronage of His Highness the Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province for the exhibition, stressing that his patronage reflects the extent of support for the Chamber's activities and programs, which enables it to continue working to support the business sector in the region, and the social programs it provides to contribute to community development.
Al-Rizaiza said, "The exhibition comes today in line with the generous directive of the Council of Ministers, approving the naming of the year (2025 AD) as (the Year of Handicrafts), to celebrate its unique value in the national culture, noting that the exhibition of the year works to empower owners of crafts, arts and handicrafts by providing them with the opportunity to sell and display their creations to visitors to the exhibition."
Al-Rizaiza stressed that the handicrafts and handicrafts sector is witnessing major transformations at the level of the Kingdom, through the unprecedented support and empowerment of the wise leadership, and represents one of the pillars of Vision 2030, given the special advantages of the sector, as it carries in its contents the antiquity and authenticity of the past, and its ability to be a social and economic tributary, and an added value to the national economy, with the investment opportunities it carries with high returns. Al-Rizaiza pointed out that the exhibition in this version comes as an initiative that cares about crafts and handicrafts from creators and those supervised by civil society organizations in the Eastern Province, and that it comes from the Chamber's developmental role and in achieving its goals by maximizing the impact of the community contribution of the business sector, and maximizing the performance of entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises through craftsmen and handicrafts owners and productive families, through awareness programs, workshops and providing qualitative initiatives to serve this development sector, and within the Chamber's plan aimed at continuing its efforts to make the owners of these crafts an effective number within the economies of the Kingdom in general and the Eastern Province in particular. It is worth noting that this version of the exhibition is considered the developed version with the new identity of the exhibition, which was launched in 2015 for the Chamber to continue its role in supporting talents and owners of crafts and handicrafts.
