Asharqia Chamber reviews the most important provisions of the Product Safety, Specifications and Quality System
Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Commercial Committee, held a virtual workshop in which the Assistant Governor for Legal Affairs and Regulatory Policies in Saudi Specifications, Dr. Muhammad Al-Yousef, reviewed the most prominent provisions of the Product Safety, Specifications and Quality System.
Al-Yousef said during the workshop, which was moderated by committee member Basil Al-Abdul Karim, that the National Quality Infrastructure Project went through several stages, as the Saudi Standards Organization coordinated with relevant authorities from the public and private sectors associated with the Product Safety System and Specifications and Quality System projects according to a clear methodology to achieve the best results.
Al-Yousef indicated during the workshop held last Sunday that in order to ensure the project's work with high accuracy, a group of standard studies were subjected to a careful review, and international experiences related to quality and product safety were benefited from, with the assistance of a group of international expertise, to analyze the current status of systems and regulations and propose the appropriate legislative system that achieves regional and international leadership for the Kingdom, as work was done with a group of experts with extensive global experience in all areas of quality infrastructure in the European Union.
