    ​​The value of the broader money supply "N3" in Saudi Arabia at the end of 2019 was about 1.985 trillion riyals, compared to 1.854 trillion riyals at the end of last year 2018, registering an annual growth of 7.1 percent, equivalent to 131.55 billion riyals.

    According to the monitoring unit of the reports in the "Al-Iqtisadiya" newspaper based on the data of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency "SAMA", the broader money supply "N3" grew in 2019 with the highest annual growth since 2014, that is, within five years, and the value of the money supply at the end of 2019 recorded the highest Its levels in 27 years, specifically since 1993.​
    On his performance during 2019, all items or components of the broader money supply "N3" grew: demand on demand, time and savings deposits, cash circulating outside banks, and other semi-cash deposits, but the contribution of each item to growth in the wider money supply differs." N3 ".
    The item "Time and Savings Deposits" came the most contributing to the growth of the total money supply, with an increase of 13.2 percent "58.64 billion riyals" to reach its value by the end of 2019 to 501.67 billion riyals, the highest level in 27 years​.
    And the second most important items in the money supply growth, the solution of "demand deposits", with a growth rate of 5.6 percent, equivalent to 58.49 billion riyals, so that the value of "demand deposits" also reached its highest level in 27 years, bringing its value at the end of 2019 to about 1099.15 billion riyals.
    The third of these items is "cash circulating outside banks", as its value at the end of 2019 reached its highest level in 27 years, to reach about 189.22 billion riyals, compared to 180.13 billion riyals at the end of 2018, registering a growth of 5.0 percent, equivalent to 9.09 billion riyals​.
    And the last items or components of the money supply "other semi-cash deposits", as it grew by 2.8 percent, equivalent to 5.34 billion riyals, to reach its value by the end of 2019 to 195.16 billion riyals, the highest level since the end of 2013.
    On the acquisition ratios, the percentage of acquisition of "time and savings deposits" from the total value of the money supply increased from 23.9 percent at the end of 2018 to 25.3 percent by the end of 2019, while the acquisition of demand deposits decreased from 56.1 percent at the end of 2018 to 55.4 percent by the end of 2019.

    As for cash circulating outside the banks, its contribution to the value of the money supply decreased from 9.7 percent at the end of 2018 to 9.5 percent at the end of 2019, and finally “other semi-cash deposits” whose acquisition rate declined from 10.2 percent to 9.8 percent at the end of 2019.​
