Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. 1704 dated 7/7/1440, which pointed out that the Council received the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. 52203 / AS dated 6/7/1440, which includes the Authority's efforts to monitor and follow up the safety of locally marketed cosmetic products based on the cosmetic products system issued by the Royal Decree No. (M / 49) dated (18/6/1436).
Therefore, samples of talcum powder products were collected and analyzed in local markets to ensure their safety.
The results of the analysis showed that the talc powder product "AJMAL SACRIFICE FOR HER POWDER" contains a high proportion of bacteria exceeded the limit in the list of safety requirements in cosmetics and personal care No. (GSO 1943: 2016 / SFDA.CO), as a high exposure to bacteria may cause health risks to the consumer.
Therefore, the Authority affirms the prohibition of selling the product described above and returning it to its suppliers, and the importers and distributors of this product withdrawn from the outlets and warehouses and coordination with the Authority to destroy it to avoid the issuance of sanctions.
