Whereas, the Authority has decided to stop the reception of refrigerated and frozen consignments from a number of ports was issued as of 1/4/2019 due to many inquiries about updates on the clearing mechanism for these products in order to ensure that the mechanism is clear to all importers and to facilitate the import process and ensure the safety of imported food.
The deadline for applying the mechanism has been extended to be effective from 1/8/2019.
The Authority will hold workshops for importers and customs agents during this period to clarify the mechanism and answer their queries.
