Greetings,

Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42503349) dated (8/19/1442), with reference to the letter of the Public Transport Authority No. (6756/42/1) dated (1/8/1442) regarding the letter of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Human Development No. (124990) dated (4/7/1442), which states that the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities has coordinated with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and formed several committees consisting of technicians and legal professionals to implement the comprehensive access program in public facilities In order to be compatible with the needs of persons with disabilities, and prepared a simplified guide for the application of standards with the King Salman Center for Disability Research and his Excellency’s request regarding the mandatory application of standards for universal access guides in public and private facilities in order to be compatible with the needs of persons with disabilities according to the simplified guide, and in a manner that does not conflict with the building code of Saudi Arabia, giving a time limit (6 months) to implement these criteria.​
