• Approval of the issuance of building material quarry licenses in accordance with the mining investment system

    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received a letter from the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (L / 1897) dated (10/16/1441), which states the issuance of the noble Supreme Decree No. (54358) and the date (2/28/1441), by agreeing to Issuance of building material quarry licenses in accordance with the Mining Investment Law - issued by Royal Decree No. (M / 47) on (20/8/1425) for contractors who have contracts with government agencies according to the following:

    1- The contractor - who has a government project and wishes to use the compatible raw building materials inside or near the project site - applies to issue a building material quarry license to the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources after receiving approval from the government agency that owns the project, provided that support includes the following data: (The type of building materials, the number of raw materials to be exploited, the coordinates of the required site, and the time required to use the materials to complete the project, provided that the project does not exceed the duration)

    2- The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issues a building material quarry license to the contractor in accordance with the provisions of the mining investment system, after completing what was mentioned in paragraph (1) above, and submitting the following contractor:​

    An obligation of the Ministry to limit the exploitation of the materials to the project for which it was licensed.
    A financial guarantee - as determined by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources - for its benefit, will not be released unless after the contractor has been rehabilitated and approved by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture.​
    3- Upon the issuance of the licenses referred to above in item (first), the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources shall take into account what was stated in Ordinance No. (22484) on (24/4/1440).​

    Second / Government agencies confirm that contractors contracted with are bound by the provisions of the mining investment system and that raw materials for construction projects are secured from sites licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.​
