Asharqia Chamber achieves the ISO certificates

Becoming the first Saudi chamber having the ISO certificates for quality management and information security

Al Rashid congratulated the Chamber members and urged to pursue their aspirations
Al Nueim received both certificates from the company supervising on the project

Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Rashid congratulated the chamber board and members and the Secretariat of the Chamber on the occasion of the obtaining ISO certificates for quality management system (QMS) (ISO 9001: 2008 Edition) and Information Security Management System (ISO 27001 2005).

In his speech;Al Rashid said that this achievement has become a new accomplishment by Asharqia Chamber, becoming the first chamber of commerce in the Kingdom to verify these certificates at the same time and a pioneer in the Middle East for such achievement.

Referring that this achievement puts the chamber in front of a big challenge in its mission for customer satisfaction and to reach world-class level to become a reference in the scale and quality applications.

On the other hand the Secretary-General of the Chamber Adnan bin Abdullah Al Nueim received both certificates of quality management system (ISO 9001: 2008) and Information Security Management (ISO 27001 2005), during the reception in his office on Sunday, 6th December, 2009 by Jamal Al Baijan CEO of TUV NORD Middle East Group and the National Company for Inspection and Testing, Ltd. in charge of supervising on the project implementation in the chamber who handed the certificate and congratulated the chamber on this occasion.

During the meeting Al Nueim reviewed the phases of the project applied by the chamber to reach this achievement on the level of Saudi Chambers indicating that it has come after the continuous efforts to enable the chamber from the implementation of the two world systems mentioned at the same time on the level of all departments , branches and service centers in record time.

Indicating that Asharqia Chamber was keen to update their administrative systems to cope with the latest world developments , taken it upon themselves to apply these efficient systems until its reflected on its customers satisfaction and the beneficiaries of its services.

Moreover,Al Nuiem thanked all chamber board , members, and departments for their effort made during the previous period since the preparation stage until the achievement was done.

It is worth mentioning that Asharqia is one of the first Chambers of Commerce achieving the ISO certificate for Information Security systems in the Middle East, being applied in few chambers in the world.

The meeting was attended by the Chamber Secretary General Assistant of for Customer Services Abdulrahman Al Wabel , Secretary General Assistant for Public Relations and Media Abdulrahman Al Humain , and Secretary General Assistant for Administration Affairs Abdulrahman Al Jalal and the designated Secretary General Assistant for Economic Affairs Adil Al Sarami,also meeting was attended by Dr. Noor Al Jaleel Ali Sabahi Head of Quality Management ,and Eng.Tarif Mohammad Rashid representing the NORD TUV Group, Director of the administrative systems in the company and the supervisor on the project implementation.
